In short: weekly charter rates in our fleet run from €7,450 for SKYFALL, the only yacht without crew (skipper optional), and from €13,550 for a crewed yacht (LE CHIFFRE) up to €550,000 for SERENITY. On top come 30% APA and crew gratuities (customarily 5 to 10%), while the 13% Croatian VAT is included in the rates. The season runs May to October, with June and September the best value-to-weather balance. Charters start from our base in Šibenik, Marina Mandalina, and every yacht except SKYFALL comes with a professional crew, so no sailing license is required on board.

A Croatian Operator, Not a Booking Portal
Most sites ranking for “yacht charter Croatia” are marketplaces that list boats they don’t own or crew. Splendid Yachting is different: we are the operator. Our charter base sits at D-Marin Mandalina in Šibenik, in the heart of the central Dalmatian coast, close to the Kornati Islands, Krka National Park and the route down to Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik.
The company was founded in 2014 by Dino Presta, a Swiss entrepreneur whose own charter holidays in Croatia became the reason Splendid Yachting exists. He was later joined by fellow Swiss entrepreneur Fabian Gruber, and today the company is led by CEO and partner Stefan Breck (meet the team). Superyachts of 40 m and above, such as CHAKRA, SERENITY and BLEU DE NIMES, are brokered: we arrange them for our guests with their partner owners.

What It Costs
A week-long charter in our fleet runs from €7,450 for SKYFALL (without crew, skipper optional) and from €13,550 for a crewed yacht up to €550,000 for the largest brokered superyachts, depending on yacht size and season. The 13% Croatian VAT is included in the rates. On top of the charter fee, budget 30% APA (advance provisioning allowance, covering fuel, food, drinks and marina fees) plus crew gratuities, customarily 5 to 10%, which are not part of the APA. The Croatian charter season runs from May to October. June and September tend to give the best balance: sea temperatures around 22 to 25°C, quieter marinas and better availability than the July to August peak. July and August bring the warmest water and liveliest ports but also the highest prices and busiest anchorages, especially around Hvar. May and early October are the quietest months, good for guests who prioritise calm bays over nightlife, though some seasonal beach bars close early or open late.

Do I need a sailing license to charter in Croatia?
Not for a crewed yacht. All yachts in our fleet come with a professional skipper and crew, except SKYFALL, which is chartered without crew and with an optional skipper. So no license or sailing experience is required on a crewed motor or sailing yacht, and on SKYFALL you can simply book the skipper.
When is the best time for a yacht charter in Croatia?
The season runs May to October. June and September usually offer the best balance of warm water, calmer marinas and lower prices than the July to August peak. May and October are the quietest months.
How many days should a Croatia yacht charter be?
One week (Saturday to Saturday) is the standard and most common length, enough for a route like Split to Dubrovnik or a Kornati and Krka loop. Two weeks allow a longer stretch of coast, for example Šibenik to Dubrovnik and back.
Where do charters in Croatia start from?
Our charters start from the base in Šibenik at D-Marin Mandalina, with routes north into the Kornati and Kvarner or south toward Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik. Some yachts can also be arranged to start or end in Split or Dubrovnik on request.
What is included in the charter price?
The charter fee covers the yacht and, on every yacht except SKYFALL, the crew, with 13% Croatian VAT included. The APA (advance provisioning allowance, 30% of the charter fee) covers fuel, food, drinks and marina fees, and is settled at the end of the charter against actual spend. Crew gratuities are not part of the APA: they are paid separately, customarily 5 to 10% of the charter fee.
