A 7-Day Luxury Yacht Charter for La Dolce Vita
Southern Explorer is a seven-night round-trip yacht charter from Split, designed around the Croatian art of la dolce vita — long lunches, warm evenings and water the colour of glass. From the Roman heart of Split you sail to Hvar Town, the most glamorous harbour in the Adriatic, and drop anchor among the pine-fringed Pakleni Islands for an afternoon swim. The route crosses to Vis, the most remote of the inhabited islands, where Komiža’s stone harbour and the luminous Blue Cave on nearby Biševo feel a world away. You return north via Bol on Brač, home to the famous Zlatni Rat beach, and the quiet coves of Šolta, before a final night in Stari Grad — one of the oldest towns in Europe, set in a UNESCO plain of ancient vineyards. Short hops and sheltered anchorages leave time for everything that matters: a midday swim, a glass of local Plavac, and the slow Mediterranean rhythm that gives the route its name.
Each stop is the captain's starting point — fully customisable to weather, sea state and your wishes.
Board in Split and head straight for Hvar, the coast's most glamorous harbour. Sunset drinks high at the fortress, dinner on the square, and as late a night as you like.
A five-minute hop to the Pakleni Islands and a day of beach clubs and clear-water swimming — Carpe Diem Beach, Laganini, a long lunch on a deck over the sea. Back to Hvar Town, or stay at anchor.
Cross to Vis for contrast: quiet coves, the Blue Cave on Biševo by tender, and a seafood dinner in laid-back Komiža.
Cruise to Bol, beneath Zlatni Rat — the shifting golden cape that's Croatia's signature beach. Windsurf, swim, and an evening on the buzzy waterfront.
A relaxed day among Brač's western bays and the island of Šolta — Maslinica for sunset, swimming stops with no one around, dinner aboard at anchor.
Back to Hvar's calmer side at Stari Grad — one of Europe's oldest towns, vineyards behind it, and a slower, elegant evening to balance the week.
A final swim and the short leg back to Split for a farewell dinner aboard.
Breakfast and disembarkation.
