Into the North is a seven-night crewed yacht charter through the Kvarner archipelago, the wilder, greener side of the Croatian Adriatic. Departing Zadar, you sail first to Dugi Otok and the still, turquoise water of Uvala Mir, then on to Pag — a moon-like island famous for its sheep’s cheese, lamb and lace. Rab follows, its four medieval bell-towers rising above pine forests and sandy bays, before the route reaches the twin islands of Lošinj and Cres. Lošinj is a place of scented pine and aromatic herbs, a historic health resort with a resident pod of bottlenose dolphins; neighbouring Cres is one of the largest and least-developed islands in the Adriatic, home to griffon vultures and hidden coves. Smaller islets like Ilovik and Susak add empty anchorages and white-sand beaches before you return to Zadar. Quieter and cooler than the south, the Kvarner route rewards travellers who want nature, space and authentic island life over crowds — Croatia as it was a generation ago.

Your Itinerary

Each stop is the captain's starting point — fully customisable to weather, sea state and your wishes.

1

Šibenik → Dugi Otok (Uvala Mir)

Board in Zadar and cruise to Telašćica Nature Park on Dugi Otok — the Uvala Mir bay with its warm salt lake and the dramatic Stene cliffs. First swim, first sunset at anchor.

Šibenik → Dugi Otok (Uvala Mir)
2

Dugi Otok → Pag

North to the island of Pag — a bare, almost lunar landscape famous for its sharp sheep's-milk cheese (paški sir) and lace. Anchor off a quiet bay, with the option of Pag Town's salt flats and old lace-makers.

Dugi Otok → Pag
3

Pag → Rab

On to Rab, one of the prettiest walled towns on the coast, its four bell towers rising over the harbour. Sandy beaches at Lopar nearby — a rarity in Croatia — and a relaxed evening ashore.

Pag → Rab
4

Rab → Lošinj

Cross to Lošinj, the green island of vitality, fragrant with pine and herbs. Mali Lošinj's pastel harbour, the resident bottlenose dolphins offshore, and a long lunch at anchor.

Rab → Lošinj
5

Lošinj → Cres

Short hop to wild Cres — griffon vultures overhead, the hidden village of Lubenice on its cliff, and the turquoise cove of Sveti Ivan below. One of the Adriatic's last truly quiet islands.

Lošinj → Cres
6

Cres → Ilovik / Susak

South again through the smaller islands — sleepy Ilovik with its olive groves, or the sandy, vineyard-covered Susak — for a final wild anchorage.

Cres → Ilovik / Susak
