One of 6 Ways to Charter

Hidden Bays & Slow Luxury Charter in Croatia

Fewer stops, longer swims, empty coves — the quiet, unhurried way to sail Croatia.

Not every charter needs to cover ground. The slow version is about staying put: anchoring in a sheltered cove, swimming off the back of the yacht, reading through the afternoon, moving only when you feel like it. With over a thousand islands, Croatia has no shortage of quiet water.

Luxury here means space, privacy and calm — not a long list of services. On a well-kept motor yacht with an attentive skipper (and a hostess on larger yachts), the comfort is in the simplicity. The Kornati archipelago and the quieter northern islands are where this works best.

What’s actually included

We’re honest about service, because it sets expectations. This isn’t a floating five-star hotel unless you charter one of our larger crewed yachts. On smaller yachts (roughly 14–23 m) the experience is refined but pared back — a skipper, a clean and well-equipped boat, and your own pace. There’s no private chef or butler as standard. We match the yacht and crew to the level of service you actually want, and tell you exactly what’s aboard before you book.

An Unhurried Week on the Water

Every charter is bespoke, but these are the pillars of a slow, private week on the Adriatic.

How a Slow Week Looks

A short route, a handful of favourite anchorages, and time. Your skipper finds the bays that empty out by evening and reads the wind so you stay comfortable. Dinners ashore in small harbour towns when you want them; quiet nights at anchor when you don't.

Slow-Luxury Charter Questions

Everything you need to know about a quiet, unhurried crewed yacht charter in Croatia.

Is this a fully serviced luxury experience?
It depends on the yacht. Smaller yachts offer a refined, simple experience with a skipper; larger yachts add crew and service. We're upfront about which is which.
How many places will we visit?
As few as you like — slow charters often centre on a handful of anchorages rather than a packed itinerary.
When is the best time for a quiet charter?
June and September. Warm seas, long days, and bays that empty out by evening, away from the peak-season crowds.
Who pays for provisions and meals?
The charter fee covers the yacht and crew. Provisions, drinks and meals ashore are covered by the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance), usually 30–40% of the charter fee; any unused balance is refunded.
